Brenda Hooper, C. Med.

Brenda is a Chartered Mediator, Certified Trainer in Workplace Conflict and a Conflict Management Coach.

Through her private communication and dispute resolution practice, Brenda provides mediation, training and coaching services to private companies, public organizations and families.

In 1998, Brenda received her Certification in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of B.C. and began her mediation career as a panel mediator for the B.C. Insurance Dispute Resolution Program.

Over the course of her dispute resolution career, Brenda has also obtained the following certifications:

• Comprehensive Family Mediator designation from Family Mediation Canada
• Certified Trainer in Strength Deployment Inventory
• Certified Trainer in Workplace Conflict from the Mediation Training Institute International
• Master Certified Stepfamily Coach from the Stepfamily Foundation of America.

Brenda’s practice focuses on internal workplace disputes and as a consultant for the Federal Government, she mediates disputes and provides conflict management coaching for all branches of the Federal Government throughout British Columbia.

Brenda blends the latest social science research into her training and coaching programs with Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ) ™ and Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI) ™ as a means to help individuals, work teams and entire organizations develop and strengthen their relationships.

Kathleen Bellamano BSW, RSW, FMC Cert. CFM

Kat has been a dispute resolution practitioner for 15 years. Most of her work is with families and she specializes in working with participants with multiple challenges including high conflict, trauma, health or mental health issues, substance use or addiction challenges, child protection involvement, a history of violence or anger issues, or intercultural issues.

Kat provides mediation, parenting coordination, arbitration, facilitation, individual coaching and child interviewing. She practices a collaborative and integrative approach by facilitating transparency among all the professionals and supports working with a family whenever appropriate. Kat uses a trauma informed approach and promotes learning and self-efficacy in all aspects of her practice.

She is a certified as a Comprehensive Family Mediator by Family Mediation Canada, is a Chartered Mediator and Arbitrator certified by ADR Canada, is an instructor for ADR Canada and ADRBC, coaches for The Justice Institute and Continuing Legal Education is on the family and civil rosters of Mediate BC, the Hear the Child and Parenting Coordinator rosters, is a Restorative Justice Facilitator and Mentor, and a Senior Mediator with the Mediate BC Family Mediation Program. She has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria and is currently completing a Master of Social Work with a Clinical Specialization and a Certificate in Adult Education. Kat received her Certificate in Conflict Analysis and Management and her Certificate in Family Mediation from The Institute of Conflict Analysis and Management and her Certificate in Arbitration from the BC Arbitration & Mediation Institute.

She is also on the Board of Directors of Family Mediation Canada and the University of Victoria Alumni Association.

Jerome Dickey, BA, CHRP, COC

As a dynamic business professional with solid expertise in both Operations and People, Jerome has been focusing his professional practice on enhancing organizational success by transforming business through people for optimum results. He’s excited to provide leadership, mediation, conflict coaching and related ADR services for his clients.

During his 20 years of leadership and management roles in a variety of sectors including commercial aviation, transportation and utilities, he's crafted his ability to leverage challenging business problems into opportunities. As a Qualified Mediator, Certified Human Resources Professional and Certified Organizational Coach he brings a unique combination of education and practical experience to the workplace.

Vivian Kerenyi

Vivian Kerenyi has a professional background in mediation, law and social work. With over 30 years of combined training and professional experiences, she brings a broad and varied mix of expertise to her work.

She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Social Work and from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Laws. She is called to the Bars of Ontario and BC. She is a member of the Family, Civil and Child Protection Mediation Rosters with Mediate BC. She is accredited by Family Mediation Canada with the designation of Comprehensive Family Mediator and the Law Society of BC as a Family Law Mediator. She is a Registered Social Worker with the British Columbia College of Social Workers. In addition to private practise, she is a Chartered Mediator certified by ADR Canada.

She is a regular coach for the Continuing Legal Education of BC in the area of family mediation and she is a Senior Mediator with the Mediate BC Family Mediation Program. She also was a Mentor/Senior Mediator in the BC Provincial Court Small Claims Mediation Program throughout the life of the program from 1998 – 2015.

Vivian enjoys training/coaching and sharing her passion for all areas of mediation.

Lee Turnbull, LL.B., MEd (Couns Psych), C.Med., Civil Roster, FMC (Cert. Comp. Fam. Med)

Lee is a member of the Civil Roster of Mediate BC. She maintains a diverse dispute resolution consulting practice throughout the Sunshine Coast, Squamish, Whistler, Vancouver Island, and the Lower Mainland with a variety of clients. For 12 years (4 terms) Lee served her Sunshine Coast community as elected Regional District Rural Director.

In addition to her private practice, Lee is a faculty member in the Centre for Conflict Resolution at the Justice Institute of BC, where she is the instructor for the online course: Ethical Dilemmas for Mediators, she instructs in assessment preparation courses, assesses negotiation and mediation skills and coaches in many JIBC courses.

Lee also specializes in governance and systems management processes: design/implementation, design of collaborative processes, and effective dispute resolution. She has designed both civil and family mediation practicum programs, and skill assessment processes.

Lee has experience with facilitating, training and coaching employees and managers, mediating or investigating issues for First Nations clients, has facilitated international disputes, commercial, insurance, workplace, governments, NGOs, schools, and has mediated and investigated disputes in school districts, and in family disputes, both inter-generational and partner separation.
